Playoff Update: Wildcats, Titan still playing

RIMOUSKI - The Moncton Wildcats are on the brink of elimination while the Acadie-Bathurst Titan are a win away from the second round.

The Wildcats went down 3-2 in their series with the Rimouski Oceanic last night, losing a close game that ended with a 5-2 score. Samuel Dove-McFalls had a goal and an assist for Rimouski while Chase Stewart had an assist. Game 6 is Sunday in Moncton.

In Bathurst, the Titan defeated the pesky Chicoutimi Sagueneens 4-1 to take a 3-2 series lead. Game 6 is on Sunday in Chicoutimi.

The Charlottetown Islanders will look to take a 3-2 series lead this afternoon at Eastlink Centre. The Isles evened up their series with the Remparts last night with a 4-2 win. Today's match will be the final game of the series played in Charlottetown.

The only other series still going in Sherbrooke/Rouyn-Noranda. The Huskies took a 3-2 series lead last night with a 4-1 home win. Luke Green remains out of the Phoenix lineup.

Elsewhere, Halifax won their series against Baie-Comeau 4-1, Blainville-Boisbriand swept Val-d'Or 4-0, Drummondville eliminated Cape Breton 4-1 and Victoriaville moved on with a 4-1 series win over Gatineau.
