BATHURST - Joseph Henneberry scored 1:13 into overtime to give the Acadie-Bathurst Titan a 6-5 victory over the Saint John Sea Dogs on Saturday afternoon at the KC Irving Regional Centre.
The Titan erased 4-2 and 5-3 deficits in what proved to be yet another wild offensive matchup involving the Sea Dogs. Bathurst scored twice less than five minutes into the game but then allowed four straight goals, giving Saint John a 4-2 advantage after 20 minutes.
After the teams traded goals in the second, Bathurst scored back-to-back to make it a 5-5 tie after two. Bathurst carried the play in the middle frame, outshooting Saint John 16-6.
After a scoreless third - which saw the Sea Dogs outshoot the Titan 14-6 - Henneberry potted the game-winner early into overtime to give Bathurst the extra point.
Dominik Godin, Dylan Andrews, Nolan Forster, Ethan Dickson and Ben Allison also scored for Bathurst. Joshua Flemming made 29 stops in the win.
Noah Reinhart, Cole Burbidge, Peter Reynolds, Brady Burns and Jacob Beaulieu scored for Saint John. Ventsislav Shingarov made 31 stops in the loss.

SCRATCHES: The Sea Dogs were without defensemen Jeremie Richard (injury) and Jared Cosman (injury) along with forwards Nico Laforge (injury), Sam-Luca Thifault (injury) and Harrison Ballard (injury).
BURNS: Brady Burns scored his 30th goal of the season late in the first period. It's the first time in his QMJHL career that he's reached the 30-goal mark.
FOURTH LINE: It was a strong game for Saint John's third line with Jacob Beaulieu (one goal), Eriks Mateiko (two assists) and Nathan Casey (two assists) all contributing offensively. Beaulieu did get into some penalty trouble though, taking two minors.
REINHART: Noah Reinhart has been hot of late. With a goal in the first period, Reinhart has goals in three straight games and in five of his past six.
NOTES: Eriks Mateiko returned to the lineup after being a late scratch on Thursday in Halifax... the Titan wore their black third jerseys... play continued after Cole Burbidge hit iron on a power play in the first period. During an ensuing stoppage, the play was reviewed and ruled a goal... Ethan Dickson's goal was his first in the QMJHL... Burbidge and Brady Burns each had a goal and an assist... Dylan Andrews had a goal and two assists... Burns had six shots... Saint John had a hard time staying out of the box, giving Bathurst seven power plays. The Titan went 1/7 on the man advantage... the Titan are now just one point back of the Sea Dogs in the overall standings... the Sea Dogs have now lost four straight games... attendance was 1,387.
