Game Day 20: at Quebec

QUEBEC CITY
- The Saint John Sea Dogs continue their Quebec road trip tonight.

After falling 3-2 in Victoriaville last night, the Sea Dogs will look to rebound this evening against the Quebec Remparts. Game time is 8 p.m. at Centre Videotron.

Saint John is going through a tough stretch right now. They've won three of their past five games, but all three of those wins came in overtime. They haven't won in regulation since Oct. 18

Quebec, meanwhile, is also going through a challenging stretch. After a hot start, they're just 2-8-0-0 in their last 10 games.

2024-25 regular season records: The Sea Dogs are 10-9-0-0 for 20 points (third Maritimes/sixth Eastern/eighth QMJHL) while the Remparts are 7-10-1-0 for 15 points (fourth East/ninth Eastern/14th QMJHL).

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 3-2 loss in Victoriaville last night. Zachary Morin and Eriks Mateiko scored for Saint John. Charles-Edward Gravel made 21 saves in the loss. The Remparts are coming off a 5-0 loss to the Shawinigan Cataractes on Saturday. Patrick Deniger made 25 saves in the loss.

2024-25 head-to-head: This is the first meeting of the season between the Sea Dogs and Remparts.

2023-24 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs were 0-1-1-0 against the Remparts last season while Quebec went 2-0-0-0 against Saint John.
 
Last meeting: Feb. 23 in Quebec City where the Remparts defeated the Sea Dogs 4-3 in overtime. Julien Beland scored a pair of goals for the Remparts while Pier-Etienne Cloutier and Alexandre Desmarais added singles. Nicolas Bilodeau, Matteo Mann and Egan Beveridge scored for Saint John. Louis-Antoine Remparts goaltenders Denault allowed three goals on seven shots while Vincent Filion stopped all 12 shots he faced in the win. Patrick Leaver made 26 saves in the loss.

Rempart to watch: Justin Cote is 10th in the league in scoring with 23 points.

Random stat: Egan Beveridge had a goal and two assists in two games against Quebec last season.
