MONCTON - Who had the most points against the Saint John Sea Dogs this past season?
The answer probably won't come as a surprise.
Caleb Desnoyers of the Moncton Wildcats and Cam Squires of the Cape Breton Eagles each posted 15 points against the Sea Dogs. Squires did it in seven games while Desnoyers did so in eight.
Desnoyers, who is currently tied for the QMJHL playoff scoring lead, led the way with seven goals against Saint John. The 2025 NHL Draft eligible forward leads the Moncton Wildcats into Game 1 of the QMJHL final on Saturday against the Rimouski Oceanic.
Desnoyers now has 10 goals and 14 assists in 17 career games against the Sea Dogs. Squires, meanwhile, had nine goals and nine assists in nine games against Saint John during the 2023-24 season.

A few other notable performances...
- Five of Samuel Boisvert's eight points against Saint John came in the Baie-Comeau Drakkar's 14-0 win over the Sea Dogs on Feb. 20.
- As noted above, Simon Hughes of the Charlottetown Islanders had three goals and five assists in six games against his old club.
- Charlottetown rookie goaltender Donald Hickey went 4-1 with a 1.69 GAA and .936 SV% in six games against Saint John.
- In nine games against the Sea Dogs (five with Moncton and four with Halifax), overage goaltender Jacob Steinman was 3-3-2 with a 2.53 GAA and .917 SV%.
- In four games against Saint John (two with Moncton and two with Halifax), overage goaltender Mathis Rousseau went 4-0-0 and allowed just four goals.
- Mael St-Denis of the Rimouski Oceanic had four goals and an assist in two games against the Dogs. Alexandre Blais had five assists.
- Antonin Verreault of the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies had two goals and four assists in two meetings with the Sea Dogs.
- Noah Reinhart had three goals and three assists in three games (two with Val-d'Or and one with Cape Breton) against his former team.
