KC Irving Regional Centre – Bathurst, NB
BATHURST – The Saint John Sea Dogs and Acadie-Bathurst
Titan meet yet again this afternoon at the KC Irving Regional Centre.
Today’s game will be Saint John’s ninth Quebec Major
Junior Hockey League contest of the season but will already be their third against
the Titan. Add in the fact that the two played each other four times in the
pre-season and this is their seventh meeting of the year. So… they should know
each other pretty well by now.
This afternoon’s 3pm contest will wrap up a mini road
trip for Saint John. They were in Cape Breton on Friday and lost a hard fought
5-3 game to the Screaming Eagles. Will Thompson, Stephen Anderson, and Nathan
Noel had goals for Saint John while Sebastien Auger got the start in goal yet
again.
Friday’s loss dropped the Sea Dogs to 4-3-0-1 on the
year. They are just 1-3-0-0 on the road this season with their only win coming
on opening night in Moncton.
The Sea Dogs are led by Anderson (four goals,
four assists) and Michael Abbott (three goals, five assists) who each have eight points.
The Titan enter action today with a 4-5-0-0 record and
sit one point back of Saint John for fourth-place in the Maritimes Division.
Bathurst is led by Raphael Lafontaine who has four goals
and six assist for 10 points.
