It only took Nico Blachman one game to
earn his first QMJHL suspension.
The new Sea Dogs forward has been given
a one game suspension for a staged fight against former Dog Kelly Bent. The
fight occurred in the second period of Saint John’s 3-2 overtime victory over the Halifax Mooseheads on Saturday.

Bent was suspended two games.
The 17-year-old Blachman, a Hollywood,
Florida native, signed with the Sea Dogs as a free agent last week. A Lake Superior State commit at one time, Blachman appeared in seven USHL games with
the Chicago Steel this season.
The Sea Dogs’ next game is on Friday in Baie-Comeau.
