Defenseman Thomas Chabot was originally
the only Sea Dog named to the team. Mathieu Joseph has since been added to the
squad as an injury replacement. The two will now be joined by Noel.
Noel has four goals and nine assists in
15 games with Saint John this year. He was especially good this past weekend,
posting a goal on Friday in Drummondville and four assists on Saturday in
Quebec City. Surprisingly, Noel has four fights this season to lead the team.
Being added to the QMJHL’s roster for
this event is especially good news for Noel after going undrafted at this past
summer’s NHL Draft.
The QMJHL portion of the CHL Canada Russia Series takes place on Nov. 17 in Rouyn-Noranda and Nov. 19 in Halifax.
