The Saint John Sea Dogs released two
more defencemen from their training camp roster on Friday.
Defencemen Cole Cameron and Jack
Greenberg were both cut, leaving 42 players at camp. Cameron is an
18-year-old from Ontario while Greenberg is a 17-year-old from Illinois.
24 forwards, 14 defencemen and four
goaltenders remain at Sea Dogs camp. A full roster can be found on the team’s website.
While the Sea Dogs haven't made an
announcement, it appears goaltender Ryan Huestis has departed camp.
Would like to thank the @SJSeaDogs for an amazing week at camp, had a great experience and time, 1st class organization for sure— Ryan Huestis (@huestisryan) August 27, 2016
Huestis’ departure would leave three
goaltenders at camp – Matthew Williams, top prospect Alex D’Orio and returnee
Alex Bishop.
More roster moves will likely be made next week. Following Sunday’s 3 p.m. home game against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, Saint John doesn’t have a pre-season match until Sept. 9 against Charlottetown.
