Game Day 10: vs Mooseheads

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs will look to make it back-to-back wins tonight at Harbour Station.

The Sea Dogs picked up their second win of the season on Tuesday, ending a six-game losing streak with a 5-3 victory over the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. Saint John will look to build off that win this evening when they host the Maritimes Division leading Halifax Mooseheads.

Game time tonight is 7 p.m.

Records: The Sea Dogs are 2-5-2-0 for six points (sixth Maritimes, 16th QMJHL) while the Mooseheads are 6-2-0-0 for 12 points (first Maritimes, third QMJHL).

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 5-3 win over the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles on Tuesday at Harbour Station. Anthony Boucher and Yohan Plamondon both scored twice for Saint John while Maxim Cajkovic added a solo marker. Alex D'Orio made 36 stops in the win. The Mooseheads are coming off an 8-2 win over the Charlottetown Islanders last night on PEI. Raphael Lavoie had a hat trick; Samuel Asselin had two goals; and singles came from Jordan Maher, Antoine Morand and Benoit-Olivier Groulx. Alexis Gravel made 35 stops in the win.

2018-19 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 0-0-1-0 against the Mooseheads this season while Halifax is 1-0-0-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Sept. 21 at Harbour Station where the Mooseheads edged the Sea Dogs 5-4 in overtime. Arnaud Durandeau scored twice for the Moose while singles came from Gavin Hart, Justin Barron and Patrick Kyte. Saint John goals came from Brady Burns, Robbie Burt, Josh Lawrence and William Poirier. Alexis Gravel made 34 stops in the win. Alex D'Orio made 31 stops in the loss.
