Game Day 9: vs Screaming Eagles

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs will look to put an end to their losing streak again today.

The Sea Dogs have lost six straight games heading into tonight's 7 p.m. matchup with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles at Harbour Station. Their last - and only - victory this season came in their second game of the year.

The Screaming Eagles, meanwhile, have lost back-to-back games heading into this evening's match.

Records: The Sea Dogs are 1-5-2-0 for four points (sixth Maritimes, 17th QMJHL) while the Screaming Eagles are 3-4-0-0 for six points (fourth Maritimes, 13th QMJHL).

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 7-2 loss to the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada on Sunday at Harbour Station. Yohan Plamondon and Jeremy Poirier scored for Saint John. Tommy DaSilva made 36 stops in the loss. The Screaming Eagles are coming off a 7-4 home loss to the Gatineau Olympiques on Wednesday. Phelix Martineau had a hat trick for Cape Breton while singles came from Egor Sokolov, Isiah Campbell, Ian Smallwood, Brooklyn Kalmikov and Ryan Francis. Robbie Burt, Brendan Sibley and Cole Reginato scored for Saint John. Kevin Mandolese and Ryan Miller each recorded seven saves in the win. Tommy DaSilva made 32 stops in the loss.
