MacIntosh, who had a goal and two assists in 13 games with the Sea Dogs this season, is back in the Maritime Hockey League where he dressed for the Fredericton Red Wings on Saturday night. It was MacIntosh's first game in the MHL since the 2017-18 season.
The 18-year-old had been used sparingly by the Sea Dogs this season, and it makes sense for him to be playing somewhere he'll get ice time. It didn't take long for MacIntosh to find the scoresheet, recording a goal and an assist for the Red Wings in his debut.
In a radio interview during the first intermission of Sunday's Sea Dogs game, Sea Dogs president and general manager Trevor Georgie said MacIntosh hopes to return to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League at some point.
Meanwhile, Sea Dogs forwards Alexis Belisle and Jeremie Jacob have been healthy scratches for a couple weeks now - much like MacIntosh had been.
DIXON SPEAKS
Former Sea Dogs head coach Josh Dixon sent the below text message to local media following the announcement of his firing on Monday morning.

William Villeneuve has been named the QMJHL's defenseman of the month for November. According to a league release, "the 17-year-old from Sherbrooke, Quebec posted multiple points on three occasions while averaging almost three shots per contest. On the other side of the puck, the second-year rearguard recorded a +/- rating of zero or higher in 10 of 11 November games."
U SPORTS' BEST
Former Sea Dogs goaltender Sebastien Auger (UQTR) and defenseman Matt Murphy (UNB) were among the players named to the U Sports roster that will take on Canada's national junior team hopefuls next week in Oakville, Ont. UNB's Gardiner MacDougall will coach the team.
CATARACTES AT IT AGAIN
The Shawinigan Cataractes finished their Maritime road swing with a 3-0 record thanks to another come-from-behind win. After erasing a 3-0 deficit on Saturday to defeat the Sea Dogs 4-3, the Cataractes came back from trailing 2-0 to beat the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 5-3 on Sunday.
PARE GOING STRONG
Former Sea Dogs forward Cedric Pare continues to rip up the league while playing alongside Alexis Lafreniere on the Rimouski Oceanic's top line. Pare now has 53 points - which is good for second in the league behind Lafreniere - and has scored a league-leading 28 goals in 28 games. Pare has already set a career high for both goals and points in a season.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN
The Sea Dogs begin another Quebec road trip this week. First up they'll travel to Gatineau to take on the Olympiques on Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. The Dogs will then travel to Drummondville for a Friday night game and then go to Sherbrooke to face the league leading Phoenix on Saturday. Sherbrooke has not lost a home game this season.
