Photos: Sea Dogs begin pandemic play

SAINT JOHN
- TD Station was looking a little different on Tuesday night.

For the first time in the COVID-19 era, the Saint John Sea Dogs held a pre-season game, hosting the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. And for the first time in the COVID-19 era, Season Ticket Members were allowed to attend.

Fans were seated in their bubbles and those groups were socially distant from one another. Everyone in attendance had to wear a mask when they weren't seated - and most seemed to respect that rule.

Here are some photos from a very a 2020 arena experience.

Fans are greeted with these signs before entering TD Station. Similar signage was placed on a video loop on the centre ice scoreboard.
Inside the building, fans are greeted with hand sanitizer.
There are a number of hand sanitizing dispensers around the building.
Some social distancing reminders are placed on the floor around the concourse.
Upstairs, each seat in the press box has been divided by plexiglass.
Something that's very different compared to the NHL bubble: all staff members on the benches - including coaches - wear masks and goggles (sorry for the terrible photo).
The Moosehead Light Ice Bar as been replaced with seats.
A preview of what socially distant seating will look like.

The Sea Dogs are back at TD Station on Sunday, Sept. 13 when they host the Halifax Mooseheads in pre-season action.
