Recap: Sea Dogs win 6-3

FINAL: Saint John 6, Blainville-Boisbriand 3
BOISBRIAND, Que.
- The Saint John Sea Dogs began their latest three-game Quebec road trip with a 6-3 victory over the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada on Friday.

Josh Lawrence and William Dufour both had three-point nights while Noah Patenaude made 36 saves to secure the victory.

Lawrence had a pair of goals while Dufour, Olivier Picard, Brady Burns and Peter Reynolds added singles. While the Sea Dogs were outshot for much of the game, the match never really felt out of their control after they grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first period.

The Sea Dogs have now won four straight games with their last defeat being that ugly 6-5 shootout loss in Rouyn-Noranda. They've moved into third place in the Eastern Conference.

Zachary Roy, Jonathan Fauchon and Alexandre Joncas scored for the Armada. Olivier Leclair made 19 saves in the loss.

SCRATCHES: The Sea Dogs were without forwards Riley Bezeau (injury), Adam Bowness (healthy) and Evgeny Sapelnikov; and defenseman Hunter Gartley (healthy).

LEMIEUX RETURNS: Goaltender Jonathan Lemieux was back in the Sea Dogs lineup and backed up Noah Patenaude in this game. He'll presumably start at least one game on this road trip. Lemieux missed Tuesday's game after suffering an injury last Saturday.
STREAKS: William Dufour extended his points streak to 12 games and his assists streak to seven games. For the Armada, Miguel Tourigny and Simon Pinard had their goal streaks end at four games.

BROKEN: This game never really ended as play was stopped with 37.9 seconds remaining in the third due to a piece of broken glass. After a lengthy cleanup and an attempt to use a piece of plywood as a replacement, the game was called.
NOTES: Yan Kuznetsov remains out of the Sea Dogs lineup until some paperwork is finalized... Charles Savoie returned to the lineup from injury. He last played on Nov. 17... Olivier Picard was credited with seven hits... one of the factors in this game was the Armada's inability to produce on the power play, going 1/6... Peter Reynolds now has goals in back-to-back games and points in four straight... the game started at 7:32 p.m. local time and ended at 10:11 p.m. thanks to the glass delay.

NEXT GAME: The Sea Dogs continue their road trip on Saturday in Sherbrooke, taking on Joshua Roy and the Phoenix at 7 p.m.
