Game Day 28: vs Foreurs

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs will look to rebound this afternoon at TD Station.

The Sea Dogs simply weren't clicking quite right on Saturday night, falling 5-3 to the Charlottetown Islanders. Saint John entered the game on a three-game home winning streak.

Saint John will look to get back in the win column this afternoon against the Val-d'Or Foreurs. The Foreurs are concluding a three-in-three road trip after a 5-3 loss in Moncton on Friday and a 5-1 loss in Bathurst last night.

Game time today is 3 p.m.

Records: The Sea Dogs are 14-10-0-3 for 31 points (fourth Maritimes/sixth Eastern/10th QMJHL) while the Foreurs are 11-14-2-0 for 24 points (fourth West/seventh Western/16th QMJHL).

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 5-3 home loss to the Charlottetown Islanders last night. Adam Bowness, Jeremie Poirier and Josh Lawrence scored for Saint John. Jonathan Lemieux made 24 saves in the loss. The Foreurs are coming off a 5-1 loss in Bathurst last night. Alexandre Doucet scored Val-d'Or's lone goal. Tristan Boileau made 33 saves in the loss.

Last meeting: Nov. 19 in Val-d'Or where the Sea Dogs defeated the Foreurs 5-1. Brady Burns had a hat trick for Saint John while singles came from Carter McCluskey and Jacob Chantler. Alexandre Doucet scored Val-d'Or's only goal. Jonathan Lemieux made 24 saves in the win. Philippe Cloutier made 32 stops in the loss.

Foreurs to watch: Justin Robidas is good. The Carolina Hurricanes prospect has 13 goals and 27 points in 27 games this season.
