Recap: Sea Dogs lose 5-1

FINAL: Saint John 1, Charlottetown 5
Noah Murray/Charlottetown Islanders
CHARLOTTETOWN - The Saint John Sea Dogs lost a fourth straight game on Sunday at Eastlink Centre.

Playing their third game in three days, the Sea Dogs fell behind in the first period and were never able to get back into the game, falling 5-1 to the Charlottetown Islanders.

The Sea Dogs just didn't seem to have the same level of energy we've seen from them in recent games, which is understandable given this was the club's third game in as many days and second in less than 24 hours. Saint John struggled to create quality scoring chances, registering just nine dangerous shots.

Angelo Fullerton scored Saint John's lone goal, which came in the third period with the Sea Dogs trailing 4-0. Affiliate goaltender Jase MacPherson made his QMJHL debut in the Saint John net, making 34 stops in the loss.

William Shields scored four goals for Charlottetown while Owen Conrad added a single. Donald Hickey made 21 stops in the win.
