Harbour Station has announced plans to strengthen its non-smoking policy. Effective Jan. 1, 2011, smoking will be prohibited within ten metres (approximately 33 feet) of the building. The new non-smoking regulations are designed to further protect patrons from second-hand smoking exposure. The decision to provide a smoke-free zone outside the building is consistent with practices at most major arenas throughout North America.“Smoking has been prohibited inside Harbour Station from when we opened 17 years ago,” said Michael Caddell, general manager of the building, in a release. “The decision to provide a smoke-free zone outside the building is consistent with practices at most major arenas throughout North America.”
