SAINT JOHN CLINCHES PLAYOFF SPOT

SAINT JOHN - For the fourth straight year, the Saint John Sea Dogs have clinched a spot in the Qubec Major Junior Hockey League post-season.

According to the Sea Dogs website, Saint John earned a playoff ticket following their 3-2 shootout win over the Prince Edward Island Rocket last night at Harbour Station. The team is the first club in the QMJHL to clinch one of the 16 spots.

Saint John currently sits first in the Maritimes Division and have top spot in the league with a record of 34-5-0-2 for 70 points. If the playoffs started today, the Sea Dogs would play the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in round one.

The Sea Dogs are also running a promotion this week that can get non-season ticket holders rights to purchase playoff tickets early.

From a release:

Meanwhile, the Sea Dogs are running a special promotion this week only, offering half-season ticket packages, which include rights to purchase playoff packages. This is the final opportunity to avoid long gameday lineups for playoff tickets.

Prices are as follows: Adult Lower Bowl $198, Adult Upper Bowl $170, Senior (60+)/Student Lower Bowl $184, Senior/Student Upper Bowl $156, Youth (14 and under) Lower Bowl $149, Youth Upper Bowl $121.
