SAINT JOHN – With captain Mike Thomas out of the lineup for the Saint John Sea Dogs, Alexandre Beauregard responded in a big way by dropping the gloves twice in Saturday’s 6-1 home victory over the Baie-Comeau Drakkar.
The first came at 2:59 of the opening period when Beauregard and Samuel Noreau got into a tussle.
Then at 13:03 of the third period, Beauregard and Maxime Lamarche took part in a round of fisticuffs following a big hit at the Baie-Comeau bench.
The Sea Dogs forward was given a game misconduct following the tilt for fighting twice in the same match. Beauregard now has four fights since joining Saint John during the holiday trade deadline.
