SAINT JOHN – This afternoon’s game against the Moncton Wildcats will be a historic match for the Saint John Sea Dogs franchise. Standing room tickets are still available for the 4:00 pm contest.
Along with clinching their first ever Brunswick News Rivalry Cup, the Sea Dogs will play their 400th game in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
The Sea Dogs entered the league in 2005 and played three seasons that were 70 games in length. The schedule was shortened in 2008-09 to 68 games and that continues to current day. This afternoon’s match will be the teams 54th game of the 2010-11 campaign.
Today will also be the clubs 200th regular season home game at Harbour Station.
Saint John’s all-time record in the league sits at 208-163-11-17.
