VIDEO: Huberdeau's 5 Point Night

Jonathan Huberdeau went into beast mode on Monday in Edmonton, helping Team Canada to an 8-1 win over Team Finland to open the 2012 World Junior Hockey Championships.

Huberdeau recorded four assists and a goal in the victory for a Canada high five points. The trio of Huberdeau, Mark Stone and Ryan Strome was unreal as the three scored five of Canada’s eight goals.

The Saint John Sea Dogs captain’s teammate, Nathan Beaulieu, also had an assist in the win, helping setup Huberdeau’s power play goal in the second period.

Let’s take a look at Huberdeau’s performance, goal-by-goal, because we can do that.

Here’s his first assist. A great pass behind the net and through a defenseman’s legs to Mark Stone.

His second assist. Another nice pass to Stone.

Huberdeau’s first goal of the tournament. Nathan Beaulieu picks up an assist.

Here’s his third assist in which Huberdeau had a solid scoring opportunity himself.

His final point of the night.

More on this game and the rest of Monday’s action tomorrow.
