PASS/FAIL: The Sea Dogs Third Jeresy

QUISPAMSIS, NB – In a pre-game ceremony before tonight’s pre-season game at the qplex, Aidan Kelly and Ryan Tesink unveiled the Saint John Sea Dogs’ first ever third jersey.

The jersey seems to have gotten mostly positive reviews so far from fans. The jerseys, along with shirts featuring the new logo, were available for purchase at the game and plenty of folks were walking around with them throughout the evening.

The new logo is based on the old Saint John Flames logo that featured a dragon holding the Saint John font.

The jersey will make its debut on Saturday, September 29 at Harbour Station when the Sea Dogs battle the Gatineau Olympiques.

So let’s hear it: do you give this jersey a PASS or a FAIL?

  1. Considering other third jerseys I've seen since Q temas started adopting them, a seriously strong passing grade.

  2. Pass. Lots of history in Saint John so nice to sort of honor the Flames for those that were fans and incorporate it into the hockey team Saint John has now. Go Sea Dogs!

  3. I would not mind this to be the new overall Sea Dogs main logo, with the current main logo becoming the shoulder patch logo.

Time for an image refresh, you know? XB

  4. PASS!!! The new logo is much better than the original 'splash' logo. I would love to see it as the new primary logo as well.

I'm a bit surprised that they eliminated silver on this one. I think they'd be more impressive if the front vertical stripes were silver and the side panels were royal blue. But they likely will look even better once the numbers are added.

  5. Big fail. Looks like it should be a practice jersey. And black? So 90's.
