PREVIEW
SAINT JOHN – It’s hard to believe, but the Saint John Sea Dogs have just three home game remaining in the regular season. One of those three games takes place tonight at Harbour Station as the Sea Dogs host the Victoriaville Tigres at 7:30pm.

Saint John will look to make it two straight wins this evening after defeating the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles on Wednesday night. The Dogs enter play with a 22-37-1-0 record overall and a 12-19-0-0 record at home.

The Sea Dogs sit fifth in the Telus Maritimes Division and 15th overall in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. They have not clinched a playoff spot yet, but it would take an incredible run this month by Shawinigan or Cape Breton to knock them out now. In the battle for 15th-place, the Sherbrooke Phoenix remain two points back with eight games to play.

Jakub Izacky leads the Dogs in scoring with 19 goals and 12 assists for 31 points in 55 games.

The Tigres began a three-game Maritime road trip last night in Bathurst, a game they won 4-3 in a shootout. They visit Saint John tonight and then travel to Sydney to face the Screaming Eagles on Sunday.

Victoriaville sits fourth in the Telus East Division and 11th overall with a 28-24-3-5 record. They are on a bit of hot streak, winning two straight and eight of their last 10.

The Tigres have three 70-point scorers: Angelo Miceli (73), Philippe Maillet (72), and Philippe Halley (70).
