Thursday Notebook

St. Malachy’s High School released this video today and it features some current Sea Dogs and Jonathan Huberdeau.

Some other notes:

  • Tomas Jurco made his Olympic debut in Slovakia’s 7-1 loss to the United States today in Sochi. Jurco was held pointless, recorded two shots, and was a -1 in 13:34 of ice time. The Slovaks face Slovenia on Saturday.
  • John Moore tweeted that newly appointed Sea Dogs GM Darrell Young’s “priorities are acquiring free agents and preparing for 2014 QMJHL Draft."
  • The Olympiques YouTube page has some highlights up from Wednesday’s game. Go for the highlights but you’ll stay for the music.
  • Mike Hoffman won the fastest skater competition at the AHL All-Star Skills Competition. He added a goal and two assists in the All-Star Game and was named the AHL player of the game.
  • Chris DiDomenico has joined a new team.
  • The Sea Dogs host the Moncton Wildcats tomorrow night at 7:30 PM. So it’s Moncton vs Saint John on Valentine’s Day. IT’S IRONIC, Y’KNOW.
