GAME DAY 20: at Drummondville

A preview of tonight’s game between the Saint John Sea Dogs and Drummondville Voltigeurs…

Records: The Sea Dogs are third in the Maritimes Division and eighth overall in the QMJHL standings with an 11-7-1-0 record for 23 points. The Voltigeurs are fourth in the West Division and ninth overall with an 11-9-0-0 record for 22 points.

Last games: Saint John is coming off a 3-2 overtime win in Sherbrooke on Wednesday night. Daniel Del Paggio, Sam Povorozniouk and Jakub Zboril all scored for the Dogs while Marc-Antoine Turcotte made 35 stops in the win. The Volts are coming off a 5-1 loss in Blainville-Boisbriand on Sunday. Michael Carcone scored Drummondville’s only goal. Anthony Dumont-Bouchard allowed three goals on 16 shots while Nicolas Lachance allowed two on 14.

2014-15 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs were 2-0-0-0 against the Voltigeurs last season while Drummondville went 0-2-0-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Jan. 30 in Drummondville where the Sea Dogs defeated the Voltigeurs 6-2. Nathan Noel had two goals while singles came from Adam Marsh, Matthew Highmore, Adam Bateman and Bokondji Imama. Christophe Lalancette and Joey Ratelle scored for Drummondville. Sebastien Auger made 27 saves in the win while Joe Fleschler and Emilien Boily combined to allow six goals on just 22 shots.
