GAME DAY 26: at Chicoutimi

A preview of today’s game between the Saint John Sea Dogs and Chicoutimi Sagueneens…

Records: The Sea Dogs are second in the Maritimes Division and seventh overall in the QMJHL with a record of 14-10-1-0 for 29 points. The Sagueneens are fifth in the East Division and 14th overall with a 10-12-1-1 record for 22 points.

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 3-2 loss to the worst team in the QMJHL last night in Baie-Comeau. Sam Povorozniouk scored both Saint John goals while Marc-Antoine Turcotte made 30 saves in the loss. The Sags are coming off a 4-0 home loss to the Halifax Mooseheads last night. Julio Billia made 30 stops in the loss.

2014-15 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs were 1-0-0-1 against the Sagueneens last season while Chicoutimi went 1-1-0-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Nov. 14 in Chicoutimi where the Sea Dogs defeated the Sags 2-1. Mark Tremaine and Mathieu Joseph scored for Saint John while Chicoutimi’s lone goal came from Charles Guevremont. Sebastien Auger made 24 saves in the win while Julio Billia made 32 in the loss.
