Team Canada Black plays for gold tonight

Team Canada Black will play for gold tonight at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Sault Ste. Marie.
The team, which is head coached by Sea Dogs assistant coach Paul Boutilier, advanced to the final after defeating Russia 3-2 in a shootout yesterday.

Canada Black doesn't feature a whole lot of QMJHL content. Andrew Coxhead of the Quebec Remparts is on the squad, though.

Sea Dogs forward Joe Veleno was supposed to play in the tournament but withdrew due to injury. Veleno was expected to suit up for Team White, which finished last in Group A.

The gold medal game begins at 8:30 p.m. and can be seen on TSN.
