QUISPAMSIS, NB - The Saint John Sea Dogs continue Quebec Major Junior Hockey League preseason play today when they host the Halifax Mooseheads at the qplex. Puck drop is at 2 p.m.
The Sea Dogs, according to our archives, are 3-0 all-time at the qplex. The Sea Dogs defeated the PEI Rocket 5-4 in a shootout in 2011, defeated the Rocket 6-2 in 2012 and then downed the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 7-1 in 2013.

Records: The Sea Dogs are 1-3-1-0 this preseason, which includes a 1-1-0-0 record in non-Rookie Challenge games. The Mooseheads are 3-2-0-0 overall and 1-1-0-0 in non-Rookie games.
Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a rough 9-4 loss in Bathurst on Friday night. Ian Smallwood, Cedric Pare, Aiden MacIntosh and Samuel Leblanc all scored for Saint John. Matthew Williams was pulled after allowing four goals on 10 shots in the first period. Joel Goguen allowed five goals on 21 shots in relief. The Mooseheads are coming off a 4-3 loss to the Screaming Eagles on Friday. Nick Cullen, Patrick Kyte and Caleb Rich scored for Halifax. Cole McLaren allowed four goals on 31 shots in the loss.
2016-17 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs were 6-2-0-0 against the Mooseheads last season while Halifax went 2-6-0-0 against Saint John.
Notes: Isiah Campbell continues to lead Saint John in scoring with a goal and four points... Cedric Pare and Ben Reid each have a Sea Dogs high two goals... Campbell's three assists leads the team... Halifax is led by Caleb Rich who has three goals and six points in five games... Gavin Hart also has three goals... the highly touted Xavier Parent has a two goals and three assists... the Sea Dogs and Mooseheads met at the Rookie Challenge with Halifax winning 5-4 in overtime.
Next game: Saint John doesn't play again until Thursday, Sept. 14 in Fredericton, taking on the Moncton Wildcats.
