Game Day 26: vs Wildcats

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs will look to get back on track tonight against the Moncton Wildcats.

The Sea Dogs have dropped two of their past three games but sandwiched between those losses to the Acadie-Bathurst Titan is a 6-2 road win over the Moncton Wildcats on Tuesday.

The Sea Dogs and Wildcats will meet for a 10th time tonight. Saint John has won six of the nine previous meetings this season.

Game time tonight at TD Station is 7 p.m.

Records: The Sea Dogs are 12-9-3-1 for a .560 points percentage (third Maritimes) while the Wildcats are 8-11-2-1 for a .432 points percentage (fifth Maritimes).

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 4-2 loss in Bathurst last night. Brady Burns scored both of Saint John's goals on power plays. Zachary Emond made 21 saves in the loss. The Wildcats are coming off a 6-2 home loss to the Sea Dogs on Tuesday. Nicolas Pavan and Connor Richard scored for Moncton. Vincent Filion made 31 saves in the loss.

2020-21 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 6-3-0-0 against the Wildcats this season while Moncton is 3-5-1-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Tuesday night at Avenir Centre where the Sea Dogs defeated the Wildcats 6-2. Brady Burns had a pair of goals for Saint John while singles came from William Villeneuve, Jeremie Poirier, Peter Reynolds and Vladislav Kotkov. Nicolas Pavan and Connor Richard had Moncton goals. Noah Patenaude made 24 saves in the win. Vincent Filion made 31 stops in the defeat.

Wildcat to watch: Mathis Cloutier has two goals and three assists against Saint John this year.
