Game Day 27: vs Titan

SAINT JOHN - Coming off a big 9-2 victory on Friday, the Saint John Sea Dogs will look to keep that success rolling today against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

Both the Sea Dogs and Titan are coming off wins over the Moncton Wildcats.

Bathurst has defeated Saint John in back-to-back meetings, including this past Thursday where the Titan earned a 4-2 win at the KC Irving Regional Centre.

Game time for this rare Easter Sunday contest is 3 p.m. at TD Station.

Records: The Sea Dogs are 13-9-3-1 for a .577 points percentage (third Maritimes) while the Titan are 15-8-1-1 for a .640 points percentage (second Maritimes).

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 9-2 win over the Wildcats on Friday at TD Station. Brady Burns had a hat trick in that game; Nicholas Girouard scored twice; and singles came from Jeremie Poirier, Josh Lawrence, Vladislav Kotkov and Ryan Francis. Noah Patenaude made 31 saves in the win. The Titan are coming off a 4-1 win in Moncton last night. Cole Huckins had a pair of goals for Bathurst and singles came from Bennett MacArthur and Mathieu Desgagnes. Jan Bednar made 24 saves in the victory.

2020-21 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 4-3-1-0 against the Titan this season while Bathurst is 4-3-0-1 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Thursday at the KC Irving Regional Centre where the Titan defeated the Sea Dogs 4-2. Jacob Melanson had a pair of goals for Bathurst while Riley Kidney and Bennett MacArthur also scored. Brady Burns scored both Saint John goals. Chad Arsenault made 27 saves in the win. Zachary Emond made 21 stops in the loss.

Titan to watch: Assuming he starts, goaltender Chad Arsenault, who is 4-1 with a 2.13 goals against average and a .940 save percentage in five games against Saint John this season.

Random stat: Bathurst's Bennett MacArthur has been held without a goal just once in 10 games since the restart. He has 14 goals during that stretch.
