Saye suspended for high stick

Michael Hawkins/Saint John Sea Dogs
Charlottetown Islanders forward Owen Saye has been suspended two games for his high stick on Saint John Sea Dogs defenseman Yan Kuznetsov in Thursday's game.

Saye received a five-minute major and match penalty for his actions during the first period.
Saye will miss Charlottetown's Saturday game in Bathurst and Sunday contest in Rimouski.

Kuznetsov stayed in the game Thursday - his first since March 9 due to a hand/wrist issue - but is listed out of Saturday's Sea Dogs lineup with an injury.

Saye was the only player suspended from Thursday's game which featured quite a bit of roughness. Cam MacDonald was given a five-minute major and game misconduct for kneeing in the third period.

Charlottetown's Keiran Gallant, Xavier Simoneau and Oscar Plandowski were injured Thursday but all were in the Islanders' lineup Saturday in Bathurst.
