qplex to host WJC pre-tourney game

One of the biggest pre-tournament games ahead of the 2022 World Junior Hockey Championship will be played in Quispamsis.

Hockey Canada announced the full slate of pre-tournament games on Tuesday afternoon. In total, 11 exhibition games will be played throughout New Brunswick and Nova Scotia ahead of the tournament's Dec. 26 start.

The Quispamsis qplex will host a pre-tournament game between the United States and Finland on Monday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. The matchup will be one of the biggest showdowns of the pre-tournament.

Moncton's Avenir Centre will host several pre-tournament games - including two Team Canada contests - will the JK Irving Centre in Bouctouche will host one.

According to Hockey Canada, "ticket information for pre-tournament games will be available at HockeyCanada.ca/Tickets in the coming days."

In Nova Scotia, Halifax, Truro and Antigonish will host pre-tournament contests. The full schedule can be found on the Hockey Canada website.

Team Canada will hold its selection camp at Moncton's Avenir Centre from Dec. 9-12. The team will hold practices at St. Stephen's Garcelon Civic Centre Dec. 14-18. It's unclear what will be open to the public.
