FINAL: Rouyn-Noranda 4, Saint John 0

SAINT JOHN
- The Rouyn-Noranda Huskies looked very much like the much-hyped Rouyn-Noranda Huskies on Saturday at TD Station.

The Huskies controlled the play most of the night in a 4-0 victory over the Saint John Sea Dogs. It was the final meeting of the season between the Sea Dogs and Huskies with Rouyn-Noranda winning both and outscoring Saint John 8-0.

Antonin Verreault, Benjamin Brunelle, Alex Carr and Bill Zonnon scored for Rouyn-Noranda. Kyle Hagen made 15 saves in the shutout win.

Shots ended 34-15 in favour of the Huskies with Saint John registering just four dangerous chances. The Sea Dogs were given very few legitimate chances to score — even on four power play opportunities.

The loss ended a two-game winning streak for Saint John — but both of those wins happened on the road last weekend. The Sea Dogs are now just 3-8-1-1 on home ice this season.

  1. Only 15 shots what do you expect. Why did Ellie not play first period?
