The roster consists of 25 players. Defensemen Nate Tivey and Matteo Mann along with goaltender Charles-Edward Gravel will be the team's trio of overagers. Forwards Eriks Mateiko and Florian Schenk will be the team's imports.
Mann, Mateiko and forward Tyler Peddle are all currently attending NHL training camps. The team said in a news release that all three are expected to miss this weekend's home games against the Moncton Wildcats and Halifax Mooseheads.
The Sea Dogs take on the Wildcats in Friday's season opener and then face the Mooseheads on Saturday. Both games are 7 p.m. starts at TD Station.
Returning forward Egan Beveridge, Saint John's top pick in the 2023 QMJHL Entry Draft, has yet to report to the club this season. In Thursday's release, the team stated that "Beveridge will be joining the team at a later date and the Sea Dogs organization looks forward to welcoming him back."
Three players from Saint John's 2024 draft class will begin the season with the club: forwards William Yared and Dylan Rozzi along with defenseman Cruz Scanzano.
