Matteo Mann scored 3:03 into overtime to give the Sea Dogs a 3-2 victory over the Gatineau Olympiques on Sunday at Slush Puppie Centre. The victory ended a three-game losing streak for Saint John and ensured the team went home from Quebec with a win.
Zachary Morin and Eriks Mateiko also scored for Saint John. Charles-Edward Gravel made 30 saves in the victory.
Maxim Dube and Lukas Landry had Gatineau goals. Zach Pelletier made 23 stops in the loss.
Gatineau opened the scoring 7:36 into the game but then Saint John went ahead 2-1 early in the second. Gatineau tied the game just 35 seconds after Mateiko's second period goal – and it would stay tied until Mann's overtime marker.

SCRATCHES: The Sea Dogs were without forwards Coen Miller (healthy) and Florian Schenk (healthy) along with defensemen Cruz Scanzano (healthy), Julien Bonnet (healthy) and Giuliano Caputo (healthy).
NOTES: This was Saint John's first overtime win of the season... the victory ensured the Sea Dogs stay above the the .500 mark. They are now 8-7-0-0 on the year... after failing to record a point for the first time in his QMJHL career on Saturday, Zachary Morin scored his third goal of the season... Eriks Mateiko quietly has seven goals in 12 games this season... Egan Beveridge had five shots... attendance was 2,877.
