Michael Hawkins/Saint John Sea Dogs |
Former Sea Dogs forward Noah Reinhart recorded two goals and two assists to lead the Val-d'Or Foreurs to a 7-2 win over the Sea Dogs on Saturday at Centre Agnico Eagle.
The Sea Dogs dropped all three games on this tough Quebec road trip, also losing 4-3 in Blainville-Boisbriand on Wednesday and 6-1 in Rouyn-Noranda on Friday.
Saint John was never really in this one, trailing 3-0 after the first period and 5-0 after two. Both of Saint John's goals came in the third period when the game was already well out of reach.
Along with a pair of goals from Reinhart, Philippe Veilleux also scored twice while Raphael Laviolette, Nathan Brison and Donovan Arsenault added singles. Cedric Masse made 20 saves in the victory.
Reid Calder and William Yared had Saint John goals. Justin Robinson allowed five goals on 22 shots through 40 minutes. Eric Young, in his first QMJHL appearance, allowed two goals on 19 shots in the third.
