Video: Beaulieu fights Vezina

Fights are so rare in the QMJHL these days that almost each one stands out. But Friday's tilt between Jacob Beaulieu and William Vezina stood out because, wow, what a fight.

From HockeyFights.com, here's the first period fight between the 5'09", 170 lbs Beaulieu and 6'05", 188 lbs Vezina.


Both players were given fighting majors and game misconducts. The Rouyn-Noranda Huskies won the game 6-1.

The QMJHL website shows that Beaulieu has been suspended four games for a staged fight and accumulation of codes. Vezina, meanwhile, has been suspended three games for a staged fight.

According to HockeyFights.com, this was just the second fight of the season for Beaulieu. The website recently highlighted that Beaulieu's fight against Florent Houle on Oct. 25 is the highest ranked QMJHL fight this season.
The Saint John Sea Dogs have just four fights season, according to HockeyFights.com. Darien Reynolds and Reid Calder have the other fights.
