The 21-year-old had a breakout overage
season with the Sea Dogs last year, recording 39 goals and 23 assists in 68
regular season games. He added 14 goals and 11 assists in 17 playoff contests.
A native of Northbrook, IL, Povorozniouk
played four seasons in the OHL before being picked up by Saint John, putting up
47 goals and 74 assists 249 games.
Unsurprisingly, there was speculation
that the right winger could be heading to a CIS school.
