Random stat: Mooseheads goaltender Kevin
Resop went 0-2 with a 4.53 GAA and .864 SV% in two games against Saint John last
season.
1. The Mooseheads feature 2016 first
overall pick Benoit Olivier-Groulx and second overall selection Jared McIsaac.
The team also features goaltender Alexis Gravel, selected in the second round.
2. Sea Dogs goaltender Alex Bishop went
3-2 with a 3.40 GAA and .895 SV% in five games against the Mooseheads last
season. Bishop has played Halifax more than any other team.
3. Most predict the Mooseheads to finish
in the lower half of the Maritimes Division standings this year. They are young but have
the talent to surprise, no doubt.
Notes: Tonight is the Mooseheads’ home
opener. They played in Moncton to open the season last night… these two teams
don’t meet again until Dec. 16 in Saint John… Cooper Jones led Halifax in
