NORTH SYDNEY, NS - The Saint John Sea Dogs dropped their final game of the pre-season on Saturday night, falling 7-2 to the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.
The Eagles led 3-0 after the first period and extended their lead to 4-0 early in the second.
Peyton Hoyt and Drake Batherson each scored two goals while singles came from Massimo Carozza, Logan O'Neil and Tyler Hylland. Kevin Mandolese was in net for Cape Breton
Matt Green and Olivier Mathieu scored for Saint John. Alex Bishop and Alex D'Orio split duties in net.
The Sea Dogs played without a number of regulars due to NHL rookie camps beginning this weekend.

Following the game, the two teams gscot together at centre ice for a photo to show support for former Screaming Eagle Scottie Greene, who was in a car accident this past week.

NEXT GAME: The Sea Dogs begin regular season play on Friday night at 7 p.m. in Charlottetown.
