Game Day: Round 1, Game 2 vs Oceanic

SAINT JOHN - Every playoff game is a big game, but tonight's Game 2 between the Saint John Sea Dogs and Rimouski Oceanic feels like it's gotten a lot more important over the past 12 hours.

The Oceanic surprised the Sea Dogs with a 3-1 win in Game 1 on Thursday, grabbing a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five opening round series. Game 2 takes place tonight at 7 p.m. at TD Station before the series shifts to Rimouski for the next two contests.

There's really no debating that Thursday's game was the Sea Dogs' worst performance in months. The team couldn't get much of anything going offensively and made some defensive missteps that led to Oceanic goals. Now the big question is: how will the Sea Dogs respond?

No playoff run goes completely smooth - there are always bumps. But the great teams find a way to rebound from losses and make adjustments. Tonight's game could tell us a lot about this Sea Dogs team.

The Sea Dogs hadn't lost since March 27 before Thursday's defeat. They haven't lost back-to-back games since late February.
