According to a Sea Dogs release, “Game 1 will be on Wednesday or Thursday at Harbour Station, pending the results of the other semifinal between the Gatineau Olympiques and Quebec Remparts.”
The Sea Dogs advanced to the final after completing a sweep of the Lewiston Maineiacs on Wednesday night at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee. It is the second straight year that the team has made the league final.
"Hopefully it's going to be real good, and we'd like the result to be different this time," Sea Dogs head coach Gerard Gallant said to the Lewiston Sun Journal after last night’s win. "We're going to have to work for it, and we're going to have to play a good team no matter who we play."
Saint John will play either the Remparts or the Olympiques. Entering Friday’s Game Five, Quebec leads the best-of-seven series 3-1.
If the Sea Dogs play Quebec, a bus trip to Game Six is being planned.
