A preview of tonight’s game between the Saint John Sea Dogs and Shawinigan Cataractes…

Records: The Sea Dogs are sixth in the Telus Maritimes Division and 17th overall in the QMJHL with a 15-29-1-3 record for 34 points. The Cataractes are sixth in the Telus East Division and 18th overall with a 12-30-4-3 record for 31 points.

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 4-0 win over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan on Sunday at Harbour Station. Sebastien Auger made 32 saves for his first shutout in nearly two years. The Cataractes are coming off a 4-3 loss to the Gatineau Olympiques on Sunday. Shawinigan outshot Gatineau 38-36 in the game including 17-5 in the third period.

2013-14 head-to-head: This is the first meeting of the season between the two. The Cataractes are the only team the Sea Dogs have not yet played this year.
