GAMEDAY 64 - vs Mooseheads

A preview of tonight’s game between the Halifax Mooseheads and Saint John Sea Dogs…

Records: The Mooseheads are first in the Telus Maritimes Division and second overall in the QMJHL with a 43-18-0-3 record for 89 points. The Sea Dogs are sixth in the Telus Maritimes Division and 17th overall with a 19-39-2-3 record for 43 points.

Last games: The Mooseheads are coming off a 7-4 win over the Charlottetown Islanders on Thursday night. Andrew Ryan and Darcy Ashley each had two goals. The Sea Dogs are coming off a 5-4 loss to the Moncton Wildcats on Wednesday night. Matthew Highmore had two goals in that game.

2013-14 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 1-5-0-0 against the Mooseheads this season while Halifax is 5-1-0-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: January 21st at Harbour Station where the Mooseheads defeated the Sea Dogs 5-2. Nikolaj Ehlers and Brent Andrews each had a goal and an assist.

Random stat: Nikolaj Ehlers has been ridiculous of late. He has an eight-game goal scoring streak going and has recorded 17 goals during that span – including three hat tricks.
