The Saint John Sea Dogs unveiled their pre-season
schedule today.
The Port City squad will be doing a lot more travelling
this pre-season than in past years. Saint John will play a total of six games - none of which are against provincial rivals. The Sea Dogs will play a home
and away game against the Halifax Mooseheads, Cape Breton Screaming
Eagles, and Charlottetown Islanders.
According to a Sea Dogs release, all of their home games
will be played at Harbour Station. In each of the past few pre-seasons, the team has been playing one game at the qplex in Quispamsis.
Saint John will open up exhibition play on Friday, August
15th at Harbour Station against the Screaming Eagles. Here is Saint
John’s full pre-season schedule:
Friday, August 15th - Cape Breton Screaming Eagles at Saint John Sea Dogs, 7 p.m.
Saturday, August 16th - Saint John Sea Dogs at Halifax Mooseheads, 7 p.m.
Friday, August 22nd - Halifax Mooseheads at Saint John Sea Dogs, 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 24th - Saint John Sea Dogs at Cape Breton, Screaming Eagles, 4 p.m.
Friday, September 5th - Charlottetown Islanders at Saint John Sea Dogs, 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, September 6th - Saint John Sea Dogs at Charlottetown Islanders, 7 p.m.
The venues for the away games have not been announced
yet.
The Sea Dogs begin regular season action on Friday,
September 12 in Charlottetown. Their home opener is on Friday, September 19 against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
