Two Game 7s coming up in QMJHL

The Saint John Sea Dogs will have to wait another night to see who their third round opponent is.

The Rouyn-Noranda Huskies sent a message on Monday, defeating the Chicoutimi Sagueneens 9-2 in Game 6. The Huskies victory tied the series at 3-3 and sets up a Game 7 on Tuesday at Iamgold Arena.

The Huskies-Sagueneens series has had plenty of goals. Four of the six games have seen one team score five or more times.

The Sagueneens are the lowest seeded team that remains in the QMJHL's playoff race. Saint John, the top seed, will face the lowest seed that advances to the third round. To put it simply: if Chicoutimi advances, the Sea Dogs will play Chicoutimi. If Rouyn-Noranda advances, the Sea Dogs will play the winner of the Titan-Armada series.

The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada also forced a Game 7 on Monday, staving off elimination with a 4-1 win over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. That Game 7 will take place on Tuesday in the Armada's rink.

The Charlottetown Islanders, along with the Sea Dogs, have already advanced to the league's final four.

There will be four Game 7s across the CHL Tuesday night with Lethbridge and Medicine Hat squaring off in the WHL and London and Erie facing each other in the OHL.
