The Sea Dogs announced this afternoon that they have recalled defenseman Bailey Webster from the NB/PEI Major Midget AAA Hockey League.
In 30 games with the Kensington Wild this season, Webster has four goals and 20 assists. This is the second time the 16-year old has been called up by the Dogs this season. He made his Quebec Major Junior Hockey League debut on December 29th and in three games recorded three assists.
The Kelvin Grove, PEI native was a seventh-round pick of Saint John in the 2013 QMJHL Entry Draft.
A Sea Dogs press release says that he is expected to be available to play tonight. The squad has been hurting on the backend of late with Jurij Repe not playing Sunday because of an lower body injury and Olivier LeBlanc not playing in Sunday's third period.
Saint John hosts the Gatineau Olympiques tonight at 7pm at Harbour Station.
