With the Moncton Wildcats losing to the
Blainville-Boisbriand Armada tonight, the Halifax Mooseheads are the lone
Maritime team remaining in the 2014 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoffs.
The Wildcats lost their first round series to the Armada
4-2, dropping Game 6 on Sunday by score of 4-2. The Armada won the game without
the services of former Sea Dogs forward Ryan Tesink who was suspended five
games by the QMJHL for a hit from behind in Game 5.
With Moncton being eliminated, the second round matchups
have now been determined. They are as follows:
Baie-Comeau (1) vs Rouyn-Noranda (10)
Halifax (2) vs Gatineau (8)
Val-d’Or (3) vs Drummondville (6)
Rimouski (4) vs Blainville-Boisbriand (5)
So there’s that.
Two months until QMJHL Entry Draft day.
You know what to do Halifax!
