Sea Dogs prospect Bailey Webster helped his Midget AAA squad win a provincial championship on Wednesday. From the NB/PEI Major Midget Hockey
League website:Max Morrison scored the winner with 2:45 remaining as the Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild edged the Charlottetown Mark's Work Wearhouse Islanders 3-2 to clinch the PEI Title.
Kensington wins the best-of-seven PEI Championship series 4 games to 2 and will go on to represent PEI at the Atlantic Major Midget AAA Championships April 3 - 6th in Pictou County, NS.
Webster had a goal and two assists in six playoff games
with the Wild. He finished third on the team in regular season scoring with
five goals and 25 points in 31 games.
The 16-year old defenseman was a seventh-round pick of
the Dogs in the 2013 QMJHL Entry Draft. He looked pretty good in six games with
Saint John this season, recording three assists.
The New Brunswick final features the Saint John Vitos
taking on the Moncton Flyers in a first-to-eight points series. The Vitos lead that series 2-0 with Game 2 scheduled for tomorrow night at the qplex.
