The QMJHL announced this morning that
the Sea Dogs forward has been suspended a total of 15 games. The suspension
comes “in response to actions taken during the December 11th game
against the Halifax Mooseheads,” says a league press release.
During Friday’s game, Imama left the Sea
Dogs bench to try and fight Mooseheads forward Kelly Bent.
The Tampa Bay Lightning prospect has
been suspended multiple times throughout his QMJHL career, including a
four-game ban last season for abuse of officials.
Imama's suspension is the longest to be
handed out this season.
Meanwhile, Bent has been suspended five games for his involvement in the altercation. According to a league release, Bent was suspended for the following reasons:
- A two-game automatic suspension - one for aggressor and another for an accumulation of codes 3, 4 and 5.
- Two games for inappropriate behaviour.
- One game for being a repeat offender.
The whole incident started when Bent,
20, hit Saint John’s Joe Veleno, 15, along the side boards and then got into a shoving
much.
The Sea Dogs and Mooseheads meet this Friday at Harbour Station to close out the first half.

Boko got hit harder because of his past and the linesmen was between and Boko kept swinging to get at Bent. Still Bent was in the wrong taking on 15-year old Veleno.
