PRE-GAME NOTES: Sea Dogs vs Olympiques

GAME DAY
What:
Presidents Cup Playoffs: Round Two – Game Four
Who: Saint John Sea Dogs @ Gatineau Olympiques
When: 8:30 pm AST
Where: Robert Guertin Arena, Gatineau, Quebec

LINEUP NOTES
According to Tim Roszell on News 88.9's "The Drive" this evening, Steven Anthony is out with a groin injury again. The Vancouver Canucks forward played only his second playoff game yesterday but had limited ice time due to the injury.

Will Johnston will dress tonight. It is the tough guys first playoff appearance following an MJAHL suspension that was honored by the QMJHL.

HOFFMAN IS A GO
It does not appear Mike Hoffman will be suspended for tonights game. The 20-year old was thrown out 17 seconds into yesterday's game after he leveled Adam Janosik behind the net.

According to Le Droit today, Janosik returned to the game briefly before leaving because of headaches.

HULL ISN’T HAPPY
A rather nasty blog post by Jean-Francois Plante points out Nathan Beaulieu’s goal celebration following his breakaway maker in the third period.

Plante says that Beaulieu celebrated as if he had won the Stanley Cup, arguing that it was uncalled for with the game out of reach.

But Plante fails to mention that just before he scored, Beaulieu was hit hard from behind by a Gatineau player in the corner. There was no call on the play, but the Olympiques just assumed the whistled would blow and stood around like pylons, giving the Saint John defenseman a short break.

Beaulieu now appears to be the Hugo Laporte of Gatineau.
